Kristen Reeves, Business Transient Sales & Marketing Manager

Hi! I’m Kristen, hailing from the Bluegrass State of Kentucky (Go Cats!). First and foremost, let’s set some things straight, even though I’m originally from Kentucky, I do wear shoes and I’m not married to my cousin. Remember that and we’ll get along swimmingly! Some typical Kentucky stereotypes that I fit right into is that I do have the accent, love sweet tea, appreciate a good rocking chair on the veranda, and crave fried chicken.

Aside from my southern roots, I moved to Chicago 3 years ago to experience the diversity, culture, entertainment and arts the city has to offer. I can honestly say that Chicago is one of the finest cities to live in despite the sweltering, air condition-less Red Line in the summer, parking tickets and $75  fee for city stickers…interestingly enough all transportation related complaints!

I enjoy a variety of hobbies. Some of which include: gardening, rocking out at concerts & live music, reading, playing basketball and flag football, photography, writing snail mail letters, planning happy hours, and volunteering with Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly.

I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelors Degree in Integrated Strategic Communications (aka Public Relations) and double minored in Sociology & Merchandising, Apparel & Textiles.  I handle the Business Travel here at the hotel and have a penchant for Marketing, Social Media, and Public Relations. I crave new experiences and would rather receive a warm memory than any ol’ gift. I’m an extroverted, amiable person and look forward to meeting new people. So stop by the hotel and sit a spell!
